CANADIAN REGISTRATION NUMBERS (CRN’S) NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL 10 PROVINCES AND 3 TERRITORIES.
The Canadian Registration Number (CRN) system is the Canadian system for review and registration of the designs for pressure vessels, piping systems and the fittings used to make them.
Metal Forming Solutions now has CRN’s for all Canadian territories.
The CRN system is governed by the CSA B51 standard, but specific rules may vary depending on each jurisdiction.
While the B51 standard is not meant to be a stand alone design code, MFS uses ASME codes (listed below).
Canadian Registration Number registration is a requirement for each jurisdiction where equipment is used.
COLD FORMING:
Metal Forming Solutions specializes in tight radius and large radius cold forming (1″ to 4″ Diameter). We also provide bending to the Shell & Tube industries, 1/4″OD – 2″OD. Carbon, alloys and stainless materials are available. We can also provide cutting and beveling per customer specifications.
HOT FORMING:
Metal Forming Solutions manufactures to ASME/ASTM standards, short and long radius Butt-Weld fittings; starting at 1″ NPS through 6″ NPS with the ability to form specialized centers. Hot formed special radius, wall thickness, and diameter bends. Eccentric reducers & concentric reducers.
FORMING:
Metal Forming, or forming, is the metal-working process of shaping metal objects through mechanical deformation; the work piece is reshaped, stretched or extruded without adding or removing material, whereby its mass remains unchanged, and the physical shape of the material is permanently transformed.
